Evac North America is seeking a Compliance Officer to oversee and ensure the organization's adherence to regulatory and contractual obligations. This critical role is responsible for managing contract compliance, export regulations, and quality management processes to mitigate risks and drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management & Compliance:
- Manage the full lifecycle of contracts, from initiation to closeout, ensuring regulatory and policy compliance.
- Monitor adherence to contract terms, particularly for government and military contracts, in line with federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS).
- Review RFPs, subcontracts, vendor agreements, and client contracts, consulting legal counsel as needed.
- Respond to customer and regulatory inquiries and audits regarding federal compliance.
Export Compliance:
- Oversee the company’s export compliance program, ensuring adherence to ITAR/EAR regulations.
- Apply for export licenses, maintain registrations with authorities (e.g., DECCS, SNAP-R), and ensure compliance with issued licenses.
- Investigate export compliance issues, develop voluntary disclosures, and maintain compliance records.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and provide employee training on export compliance.
Quality Management:
- Align the organization's quality management with the parent company’s multi-site system.
- Implement company policies and contribute to policy development.
- Develop and document entity-specific processes, procedures, and work instructions.
- Conduct cross-site internal audits to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Oversee corrective actions, preventive measures, and non-conformance reports.
- Facilitate external audits and certifications related to ISO 9001.
Risk Mitigation & Documentation:
- Identify risks associated with contracts and export compliance, implementing mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts and compliance activities, including approvals and correspondence.
- Conduct internal audits to assess and improve compliance program effectiveness.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with internal teams (sales, project management, finance, operations) to ensure compliance alignment.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies, clients, and vendors to meet compliance requirements.
- Promote compliance and quality awareness across the organization.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, law, quality management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing compliance in contracts, export regulations, and quality systems, ideally in technology or government contracting.
- Federal acquisition experience preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as CPCM, CFCM, or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and ISO 9001 regulations.
- Proficiency in contract management software, quality management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve complex problems, and collaborate across teams.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (<10%).
