Service Engineer – Automation

As a Service Engineer – Automation, you’ll be on the front line ensuring the seamless performance and satisfaction of our global customers while driving innovation and sustainability.
Your Main Responsibilities
Onboard Service Execution
- Commission new or retrofit installations of control systems onboard vessels and at shipyards worldwide
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot automation systems
- Perform system start-ups, testing, and customer training
Project and Product Team Support
- Offer hands-on insights from the field to improve system design and installation planning
- Support project/product teams with complex technical inquiries
- Suggest design improvements based on field experience
Sustainability & Customer Satisfaction
- Provide in-depth customer support and feedback
- Help improve internal automation software in line with Evac guidelines
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and foster long-term relationships
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in commissioning, troubleshooting, and modifying automation and control systems
Technical Competencies
- Proficiency in PLC programming (ST, FBD, LD), Siemens S7-1500/1200, S7-300, Logo, Omron
- Strong skills in troubleshooting electrical and process issues
- Experience with AutoCAD schematic drawings, P&ID development, and 3D modeling
- Excellent reporting and communication skills in English
