Are you an experienced product-oriented engineer with a can-do attitude? Would you like to contribute to a zero-waste future alongside an outgoing and professional team? We are now seeking a Product Engineer to strengthen our Product Engineering team. This team holds overall technical responsibility for our product lines, including standard product technical ownership. In this role, you will focus on our wastewater treatment product catalogue and support its development projects.

Evac's wastewater treatment products are designed to collect, store, transfer, and treat wastewater from all onboard sources, ensuring effluent meets IMO regulations. These products include physico-chemical treatment systems and advanced biological treatment technologies, such as Moving Bed Bioreactor (MBBR) and Membrane Bioreactor (MBR).

This role reports to the Manager, Product Engineering and offers a highly interesting and versatile opportunity to develop Evac’s business and design future solutions. The position is based in Espoo, Finland, with frequent visits to the testing facility in Hyrylä, Tuusula.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in product development projects with professional execution and documentation.
• Hold technical responsibility for wastewater treatment products, ensuring standard product technical ownership.
• Continuously improve, update, and develop standard systems and products.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders (product engineers, product line managers, sales, delivery projects, and sourcing) to ensure cost competitiveness, on-time delivery, and product quality.

Keys to Success:

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in process, mechanical, or chemical engineering with several years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of process equipment (pumps, valves, piping, instrumentation).
• Proven experience in product development, product management, and/or project engineering.
• Basic understanding of CAD and PLM tools.
• Full proficiency in English.
• Willingness to travel to suppliers and onboard vessels.
• Proactive, well-organized, and an outgoing team player with a can-do attitude.
• Preferred: Familiarity with supply chain and sourcing.
• Advantageous: Experience in wastewater treatment.
