About the role
We are looking for a Technical Advisor to provide expert technical support to our global agent network, customers, onboard engineers, and internal stakeholders. This is a varied role that combines technical problem-solving, customer support, product expertise, and documentation management. Full product training will be provided, with the opportunity to develop into a recognised product expert.
Key responsibilities
Provide technical support and advice to customers, agents, onboard engineers, and internal teams.
Respond to technical enquiries via phone, email, and, where required, on-site visits.
Troubleshoot service issues and support resolution of technical queries.
Conduct class inspection meetings and provide technical guidance throughout projects.
Develop in-depth knowledge of at least one product line and work towards becoming a subject matter expert.
Create, maintain, and manage technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, training materials, and technical specifications.
Ensure technical documentation is released in line with manufacturing schedules and customer delivery requirements.
Collaborate with Sales, Service, Production, and Quality teams to support business objectives and customer satisfaction.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and customer experience.
Key requirements
Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in technical products and systems.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
High attention to detail with a methodical approach to work.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to build effective relationships with customers, agents, and internal stakeholders.
Excellent organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills.
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
Confidence in making decisions and taking ownership of technical issues through to resolution.
