Senior Financial Accountant

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, supporting compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, and providing valuable financial insights to stakeholders across the business. You will work closely with both local and Group Finance teams and play a key role in driving continuous improvement within our finance processes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present accurate financial statements and reports in line with accounting standards.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including fixed assets, R&D accounting, VAT returns, inventory accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting.
Deliver timely and accurate Group reporting.
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and accounting requirements.
Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Analyse financial data and provide meaningful insights to support business decisions.
Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, systems and controls.
Provide guidance and support to finance colleagues and other business functions.
Key Requirements
Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and financial management.
Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting within a complex business environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and stakeholders.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems such as Medius and IDC. Knowledge of Qlik, ThinkCell or similar tools would be advantageous.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
