Evac North America is currently seeking an individual with strong mechanical experience (machine and/or motor repair) to be a full-time Pump Mechanic/Technician for our Cherry Valley, IL location. No prior experience with centrifugal pumps is required as comprehensive training will be provided. The standard schedule for this role is Monday through Thursday 6:00am-3:30pm, Friday 6:00am-10:00am. The hourly rate offered for this position will range from $24 - $26 based on your mechanical background and prior work experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overhaul and test centrifugal pumps and other products, including cleaning, disassembly, inspection, reassembly, and testing.

• Operate equipment during overhaul such as parts washing machine, bead blasting machine, lathe, jib crane, forklift, and test stand.

• Adhere to established procedures for testing and assembly.

• Create detailed pump inspection and test reports.

• Provide backup support for production assembly and inspection.

• Handle manufacturing orders as assigned by the Manager or Team Lead.

• Local Travel on occasion (<10%).

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen due to military contracts handled at this location.

• 3+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, machine repair center, or facility/general maintenance.

• Experience with wiring electrical motors is a plus but not required.

• Experience in pump repair/overhaul is a plus but not required.

• Ability to operate a forklift preferred but will train if necessary.

• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, schematics, and drawings.

• General knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office software, Adobe software, CAD software, and company business system software.

• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
