Junior Automation Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Junior Automation Engineer to support automation projects through PLC programming, electrical design, and system commissioning. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build hands‑on experience with TIA Portal, EPLAN, and real-world industrial automation environments.
Role Overview
You will assist in developing, testing, and documenting automation solutions while working closely with senior engineers, project managers, and technicians. A strong willingness to learn, take ownership of tasks, and collaborate effectively will be key to succeeding in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and organize project documentation within a central system.
Support PLC programming, testing, and debugging using TIA Portal.
Assist with electrical design and documentation in EPLAN.
Contribute to automation project development from design through commissioning.
Prepare and maintain technical materials such as I/O lists, schematics, and manuals.
Support troubleshooting during FAT/SAT and on‑site activities.
Collaborate closely with senior engineers and project teams.
Follow project schedules and communicate progress or challenges proactively.
Take ownership of assigned tasks and seek support when needed.
Ensure compliance with company standards and safety guidelines.
Qualifications & Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Basic knowledge or hands‑on experience with:
TIA Portal (PLC programming)
EPLAN (electrical schematics)
Understanding of industrial automation concepts (PLC, HMI, sensors, actuators).
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
Good teamwork and communication abilities.
Responsible and reliable working style.
