Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Head of ICT to lead Evac Group’s global technology and information security functions. This strategic yet operational role oversees a team of 10 professionals across global locations, ensuring robust IT services, secure systems, and impactful digital initiatives that enhance business productivity. Being private equity-owned, we focus on maximizing value, optimizing operations, and aligning efficiency with our strategic goals.
The role requires driving technology strategy, managing projects, overseeing budgets, and acting as a trusted partner to business stakeholders. A proactive, hands-on approach, excellent communication, and a focus on operational efficiency are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of 9 IT professionals.
- Manage technology support and development resources, including project oversight.
- Oversee external IT partners to ensure high employee satisfaction and effective tool usage.
- Optimize technology budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Own and evolve the digital strategy and development roadmap.
- Maintain and enhance Evac’s enterprise technology architecture for security, scalability, and productivity.
- Develop and enforce IT and information security processes, policies, and guidelines.
- Lead cybersecurity operations and incident management.
- Serve as project manager or steering group member for digital initiatives.
- Provide hands-on support for data entry, operational requests, and system troubleshooting.
- Resolve high-impact, company-wide technology incidents.
- Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams.
- Motivate the team for performance, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in IT or digital roles within global organizations.
- Proven track record in IT management, operations, and technology strategy.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (M.Sc. or equivalent).
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong background in information security and enterprise systems.
Skills & Competencies
- Experience in global technology environments (HQ, business units, country entities).
- Excellent leadership, team management, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Strong project management, problem-solving, and operational capabilities.
- Experience with global ERP implementation is an advantage
- Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Experience delivering productivity-enhancing digital services.
- Proficiency in O365 and Azure administration.
- Vendor and service management expertise.
- Information security operations experience.
- Effective communication in English and Finnish.
