Lead Product Engineer - Vacuum

We are now looking for a Lead Product Engineer to strengthen the Product Engineering team. The team has the overall technical responsibility of the product lines, including standard product technical ownership. In this role you will be responsible for Evac Vacuum Systems products and development projects. Evac Vacuum Systems includes vacuum toilets as well as vacuum generation systems and related accessories. Vacuum systems are used to collect black and/or grey water and they are the leading sanitation solution in the Marine business. You will report to the Product Engineering Manager and have a highly interesting and versatile key role in developing Evac business and designing its future solutions. This position is (hybrid?) in Espoo, Finland.
Responsibilities:
· Technical responsibility of the vacuum product line, including standard product technical ownership
· Lead product development projects and ensure they are professionally handled and documented
· Project management including project plan, task, schedule, and milestone management
· Continuous improvement, updates, and development of standard systems and products
· Ensure that products are managed in a unified and effective way
· Support and work in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, such as product line managers, sales, delivery projects, and sourcing to ensure cost competitiveness, on-time delivery, and quality of the products.
Keys to success:
· M.Sc. or B.Sc. in relevant engineering field
· Minimum 5 years of experience working with product development, delivery engineering, and/or project management
· Demonstrated ability to lead development projects and related work
· Good understanding of different manufacturing technologies - Experience from vacuum systems, ceramics and/or plastics manufacturing is beneficial but not mandatory
· Basic understanding of marine environment, on-board systems, solutions, and delivery projects
· Sound knowledge of CAD and PDM tools
· English proficiency
· Ability to travel occasionally
· Excellent collaboration skills and information sharing ability
· Proactive, well organized, and outgoing team player with a can-do attitude
