Evac North America is currently seeking a dedicated Pump Technician / Maintenance professional for our Cherry Valley, IL location. No prior experience with centrifugal pumps is required as comprehensive training will be provided. We offer a competitive hourly rate commensurate with your mechanical background and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overhaul and test centrifugal pumps and other products, including cleaning, disassembly, inspection, reassembly, and testing.
• Operate equipment during overhaul such as parts washing machine, bead blasting machine, lathe, jib crane, forklift, and test stand.
• Adhere to established procedures for testing and assembly.
• Create detailed pump inspection and test reports.
• Perform light maintenance activities within the facility.
• Provide backup support for production assembly and inspection.
• Handle manufacturing orders as assigned by the Operations Manager or Operations Lead.
• Communicate issues and continuous improvement ideas with leadership.
• Follow management directives and requests.
• Attend workshops and training sessions as required.
• Travel domestically and internationally (<25%).
• Perform other duties and activities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Technology degree or 5+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, machine repair centre, or facility/general maintenance.
• Experience with wiring electrical motors is a plus but not required.
• Experience in pump repair/overhaul is a plus but not required.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical specifications, schematics, drawings, codes, standards, and regulations.
• General knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office software, Adobe software, CAD software, and company business system software.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
