HR Leader
This is a 14 Month Contract and would ideally be in post no later than June 2024.
We are seeking an experienced HR leader to join our team on a 14 Month Contract. You will oversee HR activities in the Cathelco & HEM Business Line. In this role you will report to the Chief People and Culture Officer, and you will be an important part of the business line leadership team. You will also be an integral member of the Global HR Team, with a primary focus on supporting our Cathelco & HEM Business Line organisation which has a footprint in 7 counties worldwide. The location of this role is Chesterfield, UK.
As a HR leader, you will serve as a consultative partner to leaders, enabling the business to address organisational challenges and cultivate a talent-focused organisation to enable growth. You will drive and implement the annual people process and agenda priorities for Cathelco & HEM and act as a sounding board for global needs by developing and driving the Evac people priorities. You will drive change and growth via your team and global HR team.
You also provide HR day-to-day, hands-on support for employees and managers across Evac offices in Evac Business line countries in any employee lifecycle topics. This support can be related to onboarding/offboarding activities, time & attendance administration, benefits, leaves, workers' compensation, training and development, safety compliance, or enforcing company policies and practices. You will also be creating and developing local processes and practices with an aim of creating a Great Place to work where people can do their best.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of HR matters across the Cathelco Business Line, from onboarding to performance management, compensation matters, and learning and development activities.
- Implement Evac’s people priorities, ensuring the attraction, Leadership, talent development, succession planning and retention of employees.
- Evaluate the organisation’s future workforce needs and recommend changes to HR initiatives.
- Partner with stakeholders and managers to implement people processes effectively including producing and delivering training.
- Coach and guide managers and employees on employee relations, performance, career development, culture, and engagement.
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations, reviewing policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Manage employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health in cooperation with relevant partners.
- Oversee accurate payroll administration and leave management.
- Support the local implementation of Evac’s global HR processes and participate in the development of global HR initiatives.
- Act as a process owner for one or more global people processes.
- Engage and influence business leaders, providing strategic advice on people issues and HR needs.
- Build relationships with functional and operational area managers to develop and implement local action plans aligned with Evac’s overall people agenda.
- Foster a culture of inclusivity that enables all employees to thrive and lead change plans that engage leaders and employees.
- Cultivate a culture that recognises and celebrates talent.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience as an HR consultant or HR manager, with additional experience as a business partner preferred.
- CIPD level 7 or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field,
- Thorough knowledge of UK employment-related laws and regulations, including benefits compliance.
- Coaching skills & facilitation skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS and talent management systems.
- People-oriented approach with a strong drive for results through excellent planning and execution skills.
- Ability to translate business plans and strategies into actionable HR plans.
- Strong business mindset, excellent communication skills, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment and enthusiasm to drive organisational success with a strong teamwork attitude.
- People management experience and ideally experience of leading and developing a global team
- Understanding cultural sensitivities and differences
- Strong communication and presentation skills
